Seeking Candidates for Board Districts 7 and 8

Map showing six district boundaries in blocks.

Benton REA is governed by eight trustees who each represent a district of members. Trustees are elected by members to serve three-year terms.

Candidates

In 2024, the incumbent Benton REA trustees whose terms expire are Ted Wallace, district 7 and Catherine Russell, district 8. Members who meet the candidate qualifications can be placed on the ballot
for the Benton REA board of trustees.

Voting

Members who live in districts 7 and 8 will receive a ballot in June. Ballots can be returned by mail or members may bring them to the annual meeting. All ballots will be counted, and the election results
will be announced at the annual business meeting July 13.

To find your trustee district, refer to the map or contact a Benton REA member experience representative at 509-786-2913.

What Trustees Do

The Benton REA Trustees are responsible for the overall direction of the business and affairs of the co-op through the adoption of policies, budgets and providing direction to the CEO. Trustees meet at 6 p.m. the last Wednesday of the month unless otherwise scheduled.
