Billing Clerk

Benton REA is accepting applications to fill one (1) full-time Billing Clerk position to work out of the Benton REA Prosser Office. The assigned weekly schedule will be Tuesday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with a half hour lunch period.

Responsibilities include balancing daily cash receipts, accurate and timely processing of billing procedures, and providing courteous and efficient service to Benton REA members and the general public while working in a team-oriented environment. Candidates must be proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel and Word, and with Microsoft Outlook email functions. Experience using a ten-key desktop calculator is required.

Ground Worker (Groundman)

Benton REA is accepting applications to fill two (2) full-time Groundman positions. The reporting headquarters for these positions will be changed as needed for training purposes at the discretion of the Association, with proper notification of such changes to be provided to the employees in these positions. These are bargaining unit positions and are included under the most current version of the agreement by and between Benton Rural Electric Association and Local Union No. 77 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

Journeyman Line Worker

Benton REA is accepting applications to fill one (1) full-time Journeyman Lineman (Journey Line Worker) position that will report either to the Prosser, Washington or the West Richland, Washington office, to be determined at a later date. This position is a bargaining unit position. The successful applicant will be required to meet, on an ongoing basis, the physical and other requirements stated in the current version of the Minimum Qualifications for the Journeyman Lineman (Journey Line Worker) position and will be required to perform the tasks and responsibilities listed in the Journeyman Lineman (Journey Line Worker) Position Description.

The successful applicant will be required to establish their domicile and principal residence, and reside full time, within a thirty (30) mile radius of the assigned headquarters. This requirement shall be a condition of employment. This residency requirement must be satisfied within one year from the hire date of the successful applicant.
