Benton REA has an exciting opportunity for a communications professional. Benton REA is now accepting applications for a full-time Communications Specialist I. The position will provide design solutions and multimedia content for Association communications and marketing plans on all platforms, engage in public education and outreach and be a contributing and active member of the marketing and communications team.
Minimum qualifications include at least a bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, marketing, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education or experience with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience, preferably related experience in the electric utility industry.

Electrical Engineer/Senior Electrical Engineer
Benton REA has an exciting opportunity for an engineering professional. Benton REA is now accepting applications for a full-time Electrical Engineer. This position provides expertise and knowledge to ensure the Association’s electric service needs are met. Provides engineering services including design and cost estimates for construction and operation of the electrical systems.
Minimum qualifications include at least a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license. The senior level requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a current Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range:
Electrical Engineer: $86,930 to $130,394 per year
Senior Electrical Engineer: $106,254 to $159,381 per year

Benton REA has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering/Operations professional. Benton REA is now accepting applications for a full-time Vice President of Engineering and Operations. This position establishes strategy and provides direction for the Engineering and Operations functions. Will be part of the senior leadership team with the responsibility of planning, organizing, budgeting, staffing, and directing of the Engineering and Operations Departments.
Minimum qualifications include at least a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or related degree with a minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible electric utility experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license. Prefer a Professional Engineer (PE) license or a Journeyman Lineman card.

Responsibilities include balancing daily cash receipts, accurate and timely processing of billing procedures, and providing courteous and efficient service to Benton REA members and the general public, while working in a team-oriented environment.
Minimum qualifications include being a high school graduate or equivalent (GED), two years of customer service experience, proficiency in general office and computer peripherals and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license.
