Disconnect Service
If you are moving out of the area and you wish to disconnect your electric service, contact Benton REA at least one business day in advance of the day you would like to disconnect service.
Make sure you provide Benton REA with the address where you want your final bill mailed and Benton REA will schedule a final read of your electric meter and will send you your final bill. This address is also needed to ensure you receive any capital credit retirement checks due to you at a future date.

Transfer Service
If you are moving to a residence that is also served by Benton REA or want to add another Benton REA account in your name, contact Benton REA to provide a member service representative the date you want the new service transferred to your name as well as other information they may ask of you. In order to transfer a new service into your name, all of your existing Benton REA accounts must be current with no past due balances.

Retire/Remove Electric Service
If you wish to retire a Benton REA electric service - meaning you want Benton REA to remove all Benton REA electrical facilities from the home, building or property-please complete a Service Retirement Request and return it to Benton REA's engineering department. Instructions for downloading and returning the form are below.
Service Retirement Request Directions:
Step #1: Download and Save Form
Click the red button below that says "Service Retirement Request Form". Then, immediately save the file to your computer's desktop or a file folder location of your choice.
Step #2: Complete and Save Form
Open the service retirement request form in the file folder where you saved it. Complete the application in Adobe Reader. If you don't have Adobe Reader, you can download it here.
Then, save the completed file to your computer.
Step #3: Upload Completed Form
Upload the completed service retirement request below by attaching it to the form below.
