Scholarship Applications Due January 4

Graduating high school seniors whose parents are members of Benton REA and whose main residence is within Benton, Yakima or Lewis counties are eligible to apply for Benton REA’s 2020-2021 scholarships. Applications are due January 4, 2021.
Students pursuing either a trade, technical or academic education may qualify. Scholarships will first cover tuition. If money remains after tuition is paid, expenses such as books can be reimbursed.
Funds for Benton REA’s scholarship program and other educational programs come from unclaimed ownership credits. Scholarship applications and provisions are available at BentonREA.org/youth.

Five $8,000 scholarships are available to students planning to enroll in a four-year, postsecondary education. The scholarship will be distributed in increments of $2,000 per school year. Students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher to maintain the scholarship.
Trade and Technical Scholarships
Two $4,000 scholarships are available to students planning to enroll in a two-year community college, trade school or university pursuing a trade.
