SmartHub Website Terms & Conditions

Acceptance of Terms

By using SmartHub, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, which together with our privacy policy represents Benton REA’s agreement with you in relation to this website. If you do not accept these Terms and Conditions, Benton REA is unable to provide SmartHub to you. Your continued use of this service thereafter represents an ongoing acceptance of the agreement. You may discontinue the SmartHub service at any time by unsubscribing on your SmartHub profile page.

Service Limitations

Our goal is to ensure SmartHub availability 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week. However, we cannot always anticipate network or other technical problems. For this reason, you agree the SmartHub service is provided “AS IS,” without warranties. We do not assume responsibility for timeliness, deletion, missed delivery, or failure to store user data, communications or personalized settings.

Benton REA reserves the right to change or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, SmartHub at any time without notice. You agree that Benton REA will not be liable to you or any third party for any revision or discontinuation of SmartHub.

Conditions for Use

For the security of our SmartHub system, please adhere to the following guidelines. Violation of these usage conditions may terminate your participation in this service.

Accurate Information

You agree to provide true and accurate information as requested in our account setup forms. You also agree not to misrepresent your identity

Password

When registering, you will be asked to select a password. Because you are responsible for all activities that occur using your SmartHub account and password, you are responsible for keeping your password confidential. Please notify Benton REA if any unauthorized use of your SmartHub account occurs. Benton REA is not liable for any loss you may incur as a result of someone else using your SmartHub account, either with or without your knowledge.

Account Access

You agree that Benton REA employees may have access to your account information as required to investigate technical issues or billing problems.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Benton REA makes no warranty that SmartHub will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that the information obtained from use of the service will be accurate. Furthermore, Benton REA does not warranty that errors in the technology will be corrected.

Limitation of Liability

You agree that Benton REA will not be liable for any harm, even if Benton REA has been advised of the possibility of such damages, resulting from:

  • The use of SmartHub
  • The inability to use SmartHub
  • The cost of using substitute payment services if SmartHub is unavailable
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data or data transfers
  • Statements, conduct, or any other matter relating to the service

Auto-Pay Terms & Conditions

I authorize Benton Rural Electric Association (Benton REA) to, on a recurring basis, automatically charge the debit or credit card account that I specify, or to automatically debit the checking account I specify for payments due on the this account.

I understand that Benton REA will initiate transfers/charges pursuant to this authorization not to exceed the amount shown on my bill for this account. The transfers/charges on my bank account will take place on the 8th day of the month the bill is due, or the nearest business day after. The transfers/charges on my credit or debit card will default to taking place on the 8th day of the month, but can take place on the 20th of the month if requested by calling 509-786-2913.

I understand that if a transfer/charge is declined for any reason, I will be notified and will need to make the payment by another means. I understand that if a transfer/charge is declined multiple times, my account may be automatically removed from Auto Pay and will be responsible for making other payment arrangements prior to the scheduled past due date.

I am responsible for providing Benton REA with accurate payment account information if such information changes in the future. I understand that I can remove this account from Auto Pay at any time.
