New Construction
Welcome to Benton REA. We’re glad you are here. Benton REA's engineering department can help you with all your electric needs during the construction of your new home or business.
New Construction
If you are building a home or other facility that requires electric service, a Benton REA staking engineer will meet with you at the construction site to discuss your specific needs. Before you can schedule a site visit, please complete and return to Benton REA a service application. Instructions for downloading and returning the form are below.
Once Benton REA receives a completed service application, a representative will contact you to set up an appointment to visit the site. An engineering fee will be required at the site visit.
For questions, contact Benton REA’s engineering department at 509-786-2913.
Contractor Incentives
If you are building a new home, consider its efficiency. Benton REA incentivizes builders who make efforts to build All-Electric and High-Performance homes. Benton REA also offers incentives for efficient heat pumps, ductless heat pumps, weatherization and windows.
