Community Donations

Benton REA recognizes that, in addition to providing the basic needs of service to its member, Benton REA must also financially support other organizations and groups that provide services to our members and their families.

Benton REA is committed to positively impacting the communities within Benton REA’s service territory.

In alignment with Benton REA's strategic goals and objectives and in an effort to impact the largest cross section of the membership as possible, the Benton REA Board of Trustees has established the following donation categories:

Schools and school-sponsored programs
Youth Activities
Civic and Chamber of Commerce
Community Health
Community Events
  • Donations will be limited to organizations or groups that provide services benefiting Benton REA members or their families.
  • Requests must be submitted to Benton REA in writing and shall include a statement regarding the intended use of the the requested donation.
  • Organizations can receive multiple donations in a calendar year, but each organization will be limited to a maximum of $1,000 in total donations per calendar year, unless otherwise authorized by the Benton REA Board of Trustees.
  • Donations must directly benefit the group, activity or organization, and the donation recipient must refrain from using any donation funds for political organizations or groups, funding any political campaign of any kind, labor groups or specific individuals or families.
  • It is expected that the organization, activity or group receiving donations from Benton REA will publicly acknowledge Benton REA's donation.
