Email Setup and Settings

Contact PowerNET

The email service that is included with your PowerNET account can use either POP3 or IMAP. If you are using IMAP, be aware that our current limitation on mailbox size is 1 GB.

POP3 Settings

  • POP3 server: mail.bentonrea.com
  • SMTP Server: mail.bentonrea.com
  • Username: Your email address
  • Password: The password provided to you
  • Incoming Server Port: 995 using SSL (recommended) or 110 without encryption
  • Outgoing Server Port: 587 using TLS (recommended) or 25 without encryption

You also need to set the outgoing server to require authentication and tell it to use the same settings as your incoming mail server.

IMAP Settings

  • IMAP Server: mail.bentonrea.com
  • SMTP Server: mail.bentonrea.com
  • Username: Your email address
  • Password: The password provided to you
  • Incoming Server Port: 993 using SSL (recommended) or 143 without encryption
  • Outgoing Server Port: 587 using TLS (recommended) or 25 without encryption

You also need to set the outgoing server to require authentication and tell it to use the same settings as your incoming mail server.
