Disconnect Service

If you are moving out of the area and you wish to disconnect your electric service, contact Benton REA at least one business day in advance of the day you would like to disconnect service.

Make sure you provide Benton REA with the address where you want your final bill mailed and Benton REA will schedule a final read of your electric meter and will send you your final bill. This address is also needed to ensure you receive any ownership credit retirement checks due to you at a future date.

Transfer Service

If you are moving to a residence that is also served by Benton REA or want to add another Benton REA account in your name, contact Benton REA to provide a member service representative the date you want the new service transferred to your name as well as other information they may ask of you. In order to transfer a new service into your name, all of your existing Benton REA accounts must be current with no past due balances.
