George "Ted" Wallace

Ted Wallace has been a Benton REA member since 2015. He resides in West Richland. Ted works in the Hanford area as a Nuclear Safety and Criticality Safety Engineer. He previously spent 20 years in the semiconductor industry as a pilot line manager and researcher.

Ted attended high school in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of New Mexico and completed his graduate studies in nuclear physics at Arizona State University.

Ted, his wife Marlo, and daughters EJ and Lilly, enjoy hiking, biking, crafts, and are active in their local church. He enjoys spending his spare time as a hobby machinist, welder, and repairer of all things broken. Hobbies include shooting sports, riding his old motorcycle, and training the two family dogs. He is an active member in the local remote-control aircraft club and is a member of several professional engineering organizations.

Benton REA Trustees appointed Ted to the Board of Trustees in April 2023. In May of 2023 he completed the NRECA coursework to become a "Credentialed Cooperative Director." Ted is a firm believer in cooperative principles.
