After a call for candidates to fill open positions in Districts 4 and 9, the Board of Trustees have chosen two members to serve as your next Trustees.
Connie Krull will fill the opening in District 4, which covers the west side of West Richland. This position was left vacant by Ron Johnson's retirement.
Connie, who has been a member of Benton REA for 28 years, brings a wealth of knowledge and a unique perspective to the board. She has more than 30 years of experience in supporting and managing infrastructure and operations, making her a valuable asset to Benton REA. Connie may look familiar because she previously served on the Board of Trustees. We're glad to have her back!
Ronald Hall will represent our new District 9, which includes the east part of West Richland.
In December 2024 the board voting districts were re-aligned creating an additional trustee position, District 9. Ronald earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Mechanization from Washington State University. He worked his way through college as an EMT with the WSU Fire Department.
After college, he ventured to northern Alaska's Arctic Circle to work with Resource Associates of Alaska. He later joined Nestlé, contributing to product development and cost-saving initiatives in the frozen food manufacturing industry. Ronald retired after a successful consulting career and now volunteers with Benton County Meals on Wheels and Columbia Basin Dive Rescue.
We are thrilled to have Connie and Ronald join the board and look forward to their leadership.
