New and Improved Rebates Starting October 1

Money Available for residential, commercial and agricultural improvements.

Starting October 1, new rebates are available for Benton REA members who buy and install new, energy-efficiency home upgrades.

Incentives have increased for the purchase of Energy Star clothes washers and dryers, heat pump water heaters, energy-efficient windows and insulation.

Before you make major upgrades to your home, such as buying a new HVAC system or appliances, contact Benton REA. Our energy experts will help you save money as you apply for rebates and use less electricity each month. Energy Star Clothes Washers

Homes with an electric water heater can receive up to $45 for the purchase of a Tier 2 Energy Star-rated clothes washer. Homes with a gas water heater qualify for smaller rebates. See the full list at BentonREA.org/rebates.

Electric Clothes Dryers

You can receive $50 to $175 for the purchase of a new electric clothes dryer, depending on its efficiency level.

Smart Thermostats

Benton REA members who have an electric heat source can receive up to $125 with the purchase of a qualifying smart thermostat. View the list on our website.

Heat Pump Water Heaters

Compared to traditional electric water heaters, heat pump water heaters use 50% less energy. The installation of a Tier 2 or Tier 3 heat pump water heater can earn you $600.

Windows

Receive up to $8 per square foot of new energy-efficient windows or $2 per square foot for Energy Star storm windows. Qualifications and rebate forms can be found on our website.

Heat Pumps

When you upgrade to a variable-speed heat pump from an electric furnace, you will not only save a significant amount of energy each month, you᾿ll earn a rebate of up to $1,300. Upgrading from an older heat pump also will improve your efficiency and earn you up to $400 in rebates.

Ductless Heat Pumps

You can switch to a more efficient ductless heat pump system without having to install a ductwork system throughout your home. An $800 rebate and loan options may be available to qualifying Benton REA members.

Insulation

Increasing your attic and floor insulation will not only lower your energy bill during the hottest and coldest months of the year, it will also qualify you for a rebate of up to $2 per square foot.

Electric Vehicle Charging Rebates

Benton REA offers a $300 rebate for residential members who install a Level 2 charger in their homes. Loans of up to $2,000 are also available to help with the purchase of the charger. Visit BentonREA.org/EV for details.

Efficient Manufactured Home Rebates

Efficiency rebates aren’t just for stickbuilt homes. The Northwest Energy Efficient Manufactured Housing Program sets the standard for highly efficient building specifications tailored for the Northwest climate. Benton REA members who buy a NEEM-certified manufactured home qualify for up to $1,400, depending upon efficiency.

Income-Qualified Rebates

Benton REA members whose household income is at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines may be eligible for assistance with paying for energyefficient home upgrades. To qualify, submit an application at BentonREA.org/rebates.

Commercial and Ag Rebates

Custom rebates for efficiency improvements to commercial and ag buildings, lighting and irrigation are available for qualifying projects. To get started on saving energy at your business or farm, call 509-786-8265 or email memberservices@bentonrea.org.
